A vacancy has arisen for a Commercial and Partnerships Executive to join us at AFC Bournemouth as a maternity cover.

Title: Sales & Partnerships Manager

Reporting to: Commercial Director (maternity leave)

Venue: Vitality Stadium

Position: full time

AFC Bournemouth Commercial employees have the key objectives of providing the highest level of service and administration to club partners and corporate clients, and maximizing revenue through sponsorship, advertising, hospitality and events. Another aim is to enhance and protect the reputation of AFC Bournemouth throughout the region.

The position will include working all game days from home which will involve working irregular hours (e.g. evenings/weekends/holidays)

Assist the Commercial Director, Commercial Director and Head of Strategic Partnerships to maintain and grow the success and revenue generation of the commercial department of AFC Bournemouth. Priorities for this role include providing administrative support, to ensure all elements of the customer booking processes are completed efficiently, to plan and execute a range of business events, manage the account of a select key partners and identify new business partner opportunities.

  • Processing bookings for partner clubs, matchday packages and commercial events
  • Manage accounts and build strong relationships with selected business partners and hotel clients
  • Sales activity
    • Conduct the necessary research to qualify new prospects.
    • Maximize revenue through new business acquisition.
    • Participation in networking and promotional functions, including AFC Business and third party events.
    • Partner inventory management for selected partners on Konnect.
  • Business event planning
    • AFC Business – maximizing membership, planning and executing events.
    • Plan and execute other business events including Sports Dinners, Corporate Golf Days and Player Sponsors Night.
  • Commercial management and partner brand
    • Enforce club branding, reason with new partners and sponsors on how branding is used to meet club branding guidelines.
  • Preparing for the day
    • Perform match day preparation duties including liaising with relevant departments regarding ticket distribution for commercial packages and partners.
    • Arrange and complete the Matchday mascot booking process.
  • Match day tasks
    • Work all home game days running the scoreboard and PA system, or other ad hoc duties as required by management.
  • Other tasks
    • Be the primary contact and deliver inventory to charity partners chosen by the Club.
    • Manage the signing and allocation of shirts, balls, program frames and other merchandise for match day sponsors, club partners and charity partners.
    • Cover the main reception as needed.
    • Management of commercial and AFC Business web content, ensuring it provides relevant and up-to-date information.
    • As a member of staff, ensure that you follow the club’s safeguarding policies and procedures and that you are committed to our safeguarding values, creating a safe and positive environment for everyone who interacts with the club.
    • Obligation to follow club health and safety policy and procedures.
    • As a staff member, you must ensure that you actively follow and promote the club’s equality policies and practices to ensure a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for all involved with the club.
