B2V4: Bla sees enthusiastic participation from people

Secretary SMC Sgr visits Kawhar village; Program a milestone in achieving rural development: Sehrish Asgar

Baramulla: The first day of the ongoing “Return to Village” Phase IV (B2V4) program in the northern district of Baramulla on Friday witnessed enthusiastic participation from the population.

The Baramulla District Development Commissioner, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar visited various Panchayats in the district including Jal Sheeri and Nadihal. She called B2V a historic step to shape rural development.

During its visit, the SDC met with PRI, visiting officers and various delegations who projected development issues concerning their respective areas.

On occasion, the DC reviewed the implementation of social security schemes, the operation of the PRI, assuring people that all their genuine claims would be given priority.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Syed Sehrish as per KNO highlighted the objectives of the program and said that the program is an important step in achieving rural development besides listening to the grievances and issues of the rural people on their doorstep .

While giving on-the-spot instructions to the line departments for immediate resolution of the problem of the people, Sehrish also insisted that the people enjoy the benefits that can come to them under the scheme.

Meanwhile, Srinagar Municipal Corporation Secretary Mudassir Hussain paid a visit to Kawhar village of the district where he carried out several development activities aimed at public welfare.

The secretary, who according to KNO was appointed as visiting officer for the said Panchayat Halqa, interacted with key village stakeholders who assessed their demands and development aspirations of varied nature—(KNO)
