Celebrating gair with joy, enthusiasm, CM Chouhan recounts

Encouraged by the downward trend of the coronavirus in the state, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged the city’s residents to celebrate the Holi and Rangpanchami color festival with cheerfulness and enthusiasm. He said that the gairs released in Rangpanchami city are famous throughout the state.

Chouhan said this during his short transit visit to the city from Thandla en route to Bhopal on Tuesday. Senior administration officials had arrived at the airport to greet him when he made the comment.

Collector Manish Singh briefed Chief Minister Chouhan on the gair road and said all arrangements have been made for a huge assembly of people along the gair road on Rangpanchami.

Chouhan ordered society commissioner Pratibha Pal to ensure the town was cleaned up as soon as possible after the festivities ended. He said all preparations should be completed for the 2022 cleanliness survey and 7 stars. “We must not neglect anything so that the city again comes first in the field of cleanliness.

While accepting the proposal to inaugurate the new Sarwate Bus Station, Chouhan ordered that it be inaugurated at the earliest for the convenience of passengers from the city and nearby districts.
A memorandum was also handed over to the Chief Minister at the airport regarding exemption from road tax and penalties for 61 public transport city buses operated by city bus operators in the city of Indore due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He assured them that their problem would be solved at the earliest.
