How to prepare for the recruitment of general intelligence and reasoning teachers DSSSB 2022?

(i) Regularly solve at least 10-20 reasoning questions on different topics

At least 10 to 20 reasoning questions must be solved on different topics mentioned in the Reasoning section of the DSSSB Teacher Preliminaries. Some of the important topics are puzzles/seating, inequality, syllogism, alphanumeric series, input-output, blood relations and sense of direction.

(ii) Practice quizzes on general intelligence and reasoning ability, mock tests, papers from previous years

The Reasoning section has 20 minutes for 35 questions. Practice as many reasoning quizzes, mock tests, and tests from previous years as you can to continue evaluating your performance. Need to solve previous years questions with a timer in place to fit the DSSSB 2022 Teacher Preliminary Exam pattern. Master basic reasoning skills, understand concepts of puzzles/seating, etc. to increase speed and accuracy.

(iii) Reasoning Preparation Tips and Strategies by Topic

Practice different puzzle questions / seating arrangements (linear, circular, square, schedule-based, comparison-based, etc.); Family links (direct or coded link, generation or family tree, etc.). Practice sense of direction (draw lines while solving to keep clarity), alphanumeric/numerical series, syllogism, inequality, and input-output.

Seating Arrangement/Puzzles: Practice all types of seating arrangement questions / puzzles to get a high score. One needs to solve and understand the pattern of puzzles, seating arrangement issues such as linear layout and circular layout. Questions can also include chart-based questions. You can expect 5-10 questions on the seating arrangement/puzzles.

Syllogism: Candidates can expect 4-5 syllogism questions with a slightly difficult level. Study the basics of the syllogism. Ace how to draw Venn diagram to avoid overlapping categories mentioned in different statements. Practice as many mock tests as possible to develop accuracy.

blood bond: Candidates are advised to divide the statements of blood relationship questions into subparts using a family tree diagram. Start with the last person mentioned in the question. This will reduce confusion. Never assume gender if it is not mentioned in the question. We can expect 3 to 5 questions about blood ties.

distance and direction: Candidates should consider all eight directions and assume they face north to reduce limitations when solving. For questions based on rotation, it should be assumed that the subject rotates clockwise or counter-clockwise relative to the direction they are facing. 3-5 distance and direction questions can be expected.

Data sufficiency: One of the time-consuming topics that require mental reasoning. It is advisable to analyze and write down the gist of the question to avoid complications. Practice will help increase the accuracy and speed of understanding the data provided. We can expect 4-5 questions on the sufficiency of data.

Coding-Decoding: One must carefully analyze the alphabets and numbers to recognize if there is a pattern or rule for the items mentioned in the questions. Always assess whether the coding is in ascending or descending order. We can expect 3-5 encoding-decoding questions.
