A world-class program

As the largest chain of leading hospitality and hotel management schools across India, IIHM has brought about a 360-degree change in hospitality education in the country. Known for its teaching and training methodology, research options, internships, and infrastructure, it gives a whole new edge to this branch of study. It is also the only hospitality school in India that is attached to a hotel itself in Kolkata and Goa, which ensures students get maximum hands-on exposure in their field of work. At the core of IIHM’s curriculum is its focus on developing career-focused programs that can make students industry-ready, progressive teaching methodology, student mentorship and development, global networking and a well-connected alumni network. Alongside its B Sc. (Hons) in International Hotel Management, IIHM students can also follow a 3-year degree course (recognized by UGC) as well as a 3-year advanced program in International Hotel Administration. Various degrees like these will help students make their foray into the hospitality industry, making them suitable for placement with any international brand in the world.

Strong industry-focused education

What makes IIHM truly unique is that it has a hotel and resort attached to its campuses in Kolkata and Goa. IIHM is part of the Indismart Group, the conglomerate that operates Indismart Hotels. Thus, Indismart, a fully functional 74-room business hotel, provides continuous training from the first year. This association makes hospitality management education very convenient, providing students with a job-like experience during their degree course. Gaining real-time experience gives students the perfect head start as they can learn the ropes through training at an operational hotel and resort. Thus, at the end of their 6th semester, students are already ready for industry.

Expert Global Faculty

Competitive, industry-ready students

The global hospitality industry is changing rapidly and the IIHM program has been developed with all the changes in mind. This is why it equips students in subjects such as management and digital marketing, among others, so that they enter their careers as well-rounded professionals. Since the hospitality industry largely depends on customer or guest satisfaction, IIHM students also receive training in etiquette and learn how to handle every situation diligently. With the transformation of requirements in the sector, the IIHM has been constantly at its feet to integrate the necessary changes in the teaching-learning process. So, at the end of the course, students are not only job-ready, but career-ready.

Additionally, IIHM also organizes all-expenses-paid educational tours for students each year. Educational tours like the Tea Tour, Wine Tour, Scotch Tour, and Culinary Tour are rare opportunities that are offered to IIHM students so they can experience the hospitality industry first-hand. The IIHM also encourages entrepreneurship among students for which it launched SAHAS, a proactive cell of entrepreneurship to encourage students and guide them to become entrepreneurs. Depending on the feasibility of the business idea, SAHAS provides all the necessary support for students to start their own business.
