A job posting has been posted on the Hancock County Schools website, indicating that a search has begun for a new principal at Oak Glen Middle, with applications being accepted until 4 p.m. on August 23. The publication indicates that the work is “pending approval of resignation.”

The resolution was announced at a special meeting on Monday, with neither board officials nor Mick’s legal counsel discussing the details of the deal.
When asked Wednesday night, Superintendent Dawn Petrovich said she was unable to comment on the job posting at this time.
According to the job posting, qualifications for the position include “possession of a master’s degree in education, as well as a valid and appropriate West Virginia teaching certificate, and possess or be eligible for a West Virginia elementary principal’s certificate.” Qualifications also include “A total of three years of progressively responsible professional experience teaching in an accredited elementary or middle school.”
Neither a resignation nor a hiring for the position was discussed at a special meeting held at Weir High School on Wednesday, nor are they currently on the agenda for the next regular meeting of the school council.
