In a report on preparing teachers for the implementation of the competency-based curriculum that was presented to the parliamentary committee, the TSC said it would deploy P1 teachers with diplomas, higher degrees, postgraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees for teaching in junior high schools.

Currently, the Ministry of Education is in the process of transforming some primary schools into junior high schools. Primary schools with established infrastructure capable of accommodating a lower secondary wing will be upgraded.
